Adventure Diary

... An Account of the Road Less Travelled

Introduction

Welcome to my diary! I've been doing cool adventures for a little while and people are always curious about where I've been. If you don't know me, it's nice to meet you.

Hiking in Central Alberta

People think that the outdoors stuff belongs exclusively to Canmore, Banff and Jasper, but that's not true. The foothills to the west of Rocky and Caroline are a delicious secret. Compared to the tourist traps in the mountains, there's practically nobody out there! (Especially if you can get out on the weekdays.)

In 2014, I started dedicating the weekends to adventure in this region. Since then, going outdoors has become something I always look forward to.

People think you need a lot of stuff to do the outdoors thing, which is completely wrong. You just need a backpack, two water bottles, spare clothes, a cheap sleeping bag and a $30 Canadian Tire tent. The rest might be nice to have, but you probably don't need it. Over the years I've collected a lot of hiking garbage that most people don't need. The most important thing is a brazen sense of determination, an iron stomach, some friends and a car you can all drive out in.

You should check out the west country if you're able to. Here is a map of Alberta with some great places on it:

About this Website

I'd like to thank Neocities for hosting my website. Neocities is incredible. It allows me to post things for other people to see, for free, without submitting to a facebook account.

I don't have an email that I check regularly, so there is no way to contact me. Cheers!
